London is awesome - taking a ride on the city sight-seeing bus, a cruise along the Thames River and eating Indian food (very British, I know!).
We arrived at the last stop of our sight-seeing trip..
The Coca-Cola London Eye.. I started to feel a little sick at the thought of being stuck in one of those small pods creeping its way around the huge wheel, it was hot, I started to feel claustrophobic..
Luckily those little pods actually aren't so little once you're inside and they have air-conditioning - bonus!
The London Eye made its way over the city providing some fantastic views!

My first tip for visiting the London Eye is to book the fast-track tickets - you will thank me later.
In my opinion, the tickets are expensive, with the fast track ticket costing £36 (GBP) for an adult and £31 (GBP) for a child. Standard tickets are around £10 (GBP) LESS than a fast-track ticket. They also offer VIP experiences, annual passes and family tickets - you can find out more and receive a discount for booking online by clicking here.

The rotation lasts around 30 minutes and provides some amazing views of London city. Each pod has a number of interactive screens providing information on the main attractions such as Big Ben (as you can see in the picture).
Opening and closing times of the London Eye vary depending on the time of year you visit but they generally begin the first rotation around 10:00AM-11:00AM. You can see all opening and closing times by clicking here.
The London Eye is also wheel-chair friendly but they do advise to book your time-slot in advance.
Definitely an awesome way to spend your day!
